When I think back on Chania, I will always think of colourful, narrow winding alleys, friendly locals, and some of the best food I have ever eaten! Chania is a favourite holiday destination for my family, despite having never all been there at the same time. We love to swap stories of conversations with the locals and argue over who found the best restaurant!
Chania has a beautiful charm. The main square, Plateia Athinagora, is in front of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the Church of Trimartyri. The church is definitely worth a visit, I regret not going to a service there. This beautiful town boasts some beautiful historical locations and buildings. But our favourite thing to do was get lost in the streets and alleyways of the Old Town and stroll around the harbour, particularly as the sun began to set.
